Where we differ is on how to handle posts that fall outside them. I am from the "it is only destructive to the forum to beat people down over it, Try a polite redirect or say nothing" camp.

Not to add fuel to the fire or keep the argument going but I use the forum alot for reference and read alot of the old posts some going back a good few years, the one thing that is consistent is the agressive responses to posts and the occasional rude response. It really is nothing new and new posters cant be held responsible as older posters are just as much involved. The only problem I have is that there are a few posters who seem to think they can decided which post is worthy and which they will make fun of and try to ruin.
That being said there is no need for rudness and a short and informative message is enough if anyone thinks someone is doing wrong.
