What'd'ya think of this cool Manicure Desk/Table?

My late friend bought it not long after the Minneapolis Curtis Hotel was demolished and this manicure table and lamp came from the Beauty Shop in the Hotel.

I don't whom made it, but it's got 4 small drawers and one larger middle drawer. In black lacquerand the chrome is a flat band style, quite unusual.

I date it from either the late 1920's or early 1930's.

Any ideas? When Antiques Roadshow came to town a couple of years ago, I wanted to bring this to show it, but I couldn't get a doggone ticket.

Is anyone here at DA still fond of 1930's chrome?
