Drunk and excitable and I have to know if SDR studied with the Talking Heads people or was that after your time?
It might be interesting if we could shove things along a decade or two, Keith Haring, Devo, pentagram, anyone else interested in this period?
and something else but perhaps its common knowledge, am listening to a show on urban densification, good stuff, I might have to buy one of these ipod contraptions.

Thanks for the
cultural references. No, I was there before that. Martin Mull was in the class following mine -- that's about it, as far as I know, but I "don't get out much" for pop music, so who knows. I was there 1960-1964.
There's an obscure Firesign Theater reference (speaking of radio) to a RISD campus architectural feature -- first one to cite the correct album gets Jean Shepherd's "brass figligee with bronze oak leaf cluster" . . .
Have another one on me, Heath !
Not to drag this
out -- but when I was at the school we were told that the only famous artist to have attended (graduated ?) from RISD was Arshile Gorky . . . !
Another pair who were a year behind me were Judy Kensley and Todd McKie. Todd isn't well known -- an industrial design major, I think, who did a neato multi-slat chair that got my attention. Judy married him after graduating, I guess, and she made a career for herself by building carved furniture, usually with animal forms.
