Question about the forum format (and donations)...

I've never hit the paypal "donate" button at the bottom of the main page, but was considering it earlier today. This place is such a tremendous source of information.
It raised a question in my mind (and I don't know if its come up before), but what would it take to bring the forum software into this century? Is new hardware required, or just software?
Its a really tough read on a mobile device, and I am willing to contribute to improve things. I have some rudimentary programming and database skills, and could assist in bringing archival info forward if necessary.
I'm sure that this place has helped most here save (or gain) a little. What would it take, and who is in for a few dollars?

This topic has come up several times in the past. I believe the number of regular users of this forum does not justify the cost involved in a more fully featured forum format, such as vBulletin. I do agree that it would be very nice to have though. 🙂

Looks like vBulletin is $200, with another $200 for the mobile delivery version.
Doesn't sound like a lot to me... (but if its hardware, thats different).

I looked thru all those BBC...
I looked thru all those BBC pictures and there was not one single picture of Mark on his balcony. Still, I was inspired enough to finally make a donation. I like this forum (most of the time) . Keep up the good work.
