Hi all, Trying to kill two question birds with one stone on this thread.

I picked up an AX chair by Hvidt & Moolgard Neilsen recently and I am a bit suspicious of the way the screws on the back of the backrest holding the upholstered panel in place.

To me it looks a bit too crude for Fritz Hansen and I thought it must have been a bit of tampering.

Searching images of the chair online I found a Japanese site with a chair pictured showing the same screws on the back, can anyone confirm that these screws are original?

Also I picked up a couple of lovely little France & Son side tables which I am sure I have seen accredited to Finn Juhl, would love to know your thoughts, please check my Flikr site for an image.

Thanks very much in advance for any contributions.

AX / FF
The Ax chair did have visible screws as that was the norm.
The table is Model 544, inhouse design from France & son and is not Finn Juhl.
All items listed in the France & son catalogue are inhouse design unless otherwise stated and your table has no designer listed.
Sorry to shatter your dreams, but no all france & son are Finn Juhl

Thanks very much for the answers Simon.
Shame about the tables but I`m not too dissapointed, they are `keepers` anyway, they look fantastic as bedside tables.
I would absolutley love to get my hands on an original France & Son catalouge, if you could ever source one for me or put me in contact with someone who may have one I would really appreciate it.
My email is,
mcminteriors @ yahoo . co . uk [without all the gaps]
Best wishes, Tim.
