Question about France and Sons sofa/also suggestions for similar sofas

How about less wood and more upholstery? I have a longer Olsen like this and its good for visitors but best for stretching out on and reading, though when (if?) it ever gets redone I'd get 3 cushions made instead of replacing the 4 too, they do seperate a bit and it often needs plumping but its worth it, who doesn't love feathers?

In this particular case I didn't replace the cushions, I bought it in this perfect condition, I only had to restore the teak frame.
The cushions were separated, not tied together.
But very often I have to replace the cushions for Wegner chairs and sofas, I'm using a superior quality of cold foam to do it, with a density of 50-55.

I am toying with buying the F&S Minerva sofa tht is available at a local shop. They newly reupholstered it in a light neutral fabric. The sofa is in excellent condition. They are asking $1800 and I am sure I can get it for a bit less than that. They always give me a good deal since I am a regular customer. Anyhoo, would $1600 be a good price for this sofa? I also plan on trading in my knock-off Hans Wegner daybed (a nice piece in it's own right) so that will knock even more off the price.

like a reasonable retail price to me. I doubt you'd get on one on eBay for any less.

I decided to bite the bullet...
I decided to bite the bullet and purchased the local France and Sons sofa. After viewing it a few more times, the metal attachments on the arms grew on me. The sofa is missing a couple of bands where the bottom cushion rests. Is there anywhere that replacement bands can be purchased? Thanks!

Congratulations, they are lovely pieces of furniture, coincidentally I just got mine back from the upholsterers yesterday.
