I just wanted to open a discussion about costs and quality. I want to decorate my home with good quality products but I feel like buying from places like ikea to save money might not be a good idea.
I was thinking of maybe buying some higher end products.
But is cost a valued asset for quality. Some are American Made, while other represent a multitude of vendors that have to be approved.
But with our economy isn't buying better quality the way to go? Even with higher prices, your thoughts?

Ok, I'll pretend that this is a real question.
Define "quality".

and define
"better."
better for resale, better for durability, better for beauty of design (a rather subjective criterion), better for repairability, better for...?

Lol...
What is this? Kababy's girlfriend? Doesn't he love to use the word asset? And quality? And cost? Who even opens a thread in that manner? Like we're all getting ready to sit down to a round table mid afternoon company brainstorming. If you have to ask that broad of a question, I'd just stick with Ikea. There's only a hundred variables after we distinguish one or the other, or both, or neither. You have to learn how to crawl before you can walk.

I have
a friend named Cubby, Cubby. He's the only Cubby I thought I'd ever know. He just moved to Hawaii. I envy him...

Post count can be estimated, more-or-less accurately, by typing a username into the "search in forum" box.

I understand that and it is what I did only after I'd made a lengthy post. After onegroovydude's comment I checked counts and decided my entry was of little value to the first time poster starting this thread. Because I can't entirely delete my post (another nit) I then just replaced my post with the comment about post count.
By the way, how can I edit my profile name in order to show location (USA). That's a handy thing.

Yeah, the "question" was just spam.
To add "(USA)" to my username, I asked nicely via the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page. If there's another way, I don't know it.
Oh, and if you replace your post with something that makes obvious your intent to delete it -- like "." for both Title and Message -- the forum administrators will often delete it for you.
