I have a broad (18-20" diameter), shallow salad or serving bowl. Its white with a quarter inch wide red border around the bowl's rim. The bowl is marked Marek Cecula on the under side. Cecula is listed on DA, but this bowl looks quite unlike the items pictured. Just wondered if someone could offer some general commentary about his work and where he fits into the modern, post modern, neo modern spectrum? Also what period of his career my bowl might be from?
Hi Don,
Why don't you ask him: info@marekcecula.com, but you could start with looking at his website:

To answer my own question...
Mr. Cecula indicates my bowl was made around 1990 and was one of his early pieces from a utilitarian period. Soft paste porcelin, he recalls it being. No name. And an extremely nice man he is. Yet another example of the generosity of spirit and kindness that I admire and find among designers. Thank you, Mr. Cecula, both for responding to me and for making such a beautiful bowl.
