I know the chairs come in different (tulip, fixed, or castors) option bases, but does anyone know if the castors are removeable, to in effect make it a fixed base? Or are they 2 bases completely different? I suspect the latter, but hope someone who has experience with these chairs may confirm. Thanks!

The bases are completely different, I'm not sure if the casters are removable or not, but if they are you would be left with a leg without a glide at the end, this means in use you would probably either damage the legs or your floor, or even both. The bases are actually so different that they even have a different number of legs, 5 legs on the base with casters and 4 legs on the regular base
