Anyone see that fantastic early Prouve table that up for auction at Wright on Oct. 10, 2006, lot 177?- I've never seen this one come to market in the States, although it's in many important books- Any thoughts?

Guess what?
There are certainly more than 500 patented design items that Jean PROUVE made, which did not cross the Atlantic. Some people do not have an ocean about it! You can ask Philippe JOUSSE, or Patrick SEGUIN about this item, they may not have sold their entire collection to far eastern clients...

Richard Wright
was the head of the Treadway-Toomey Galleries Modern Dept. since at least 1995 (when I first met him). He struck out on his own with his first modern auction in June of 2000 and his company has become, in my opinion, the premier modern auction house in the country.

Thanks
for the dates, and the link. They're well-known, now, certainly; I wondered why Googling the name (with "auction") produced nothing. . .

I am probably missing something, but lot 181 is estimated $5000 to $7000? Stick "perriand" on something and multiply its value per 1000 regardless of the actual item.
