I would say that this is a large part of the design loving community, yet you say this with a slight bit of bite. Not many people come from old money, and a large portion of today's buyers are young up-and-comings.
I am not complaining about price. Things are worth what they are worth - and I have parted with an irresponsible amount of $$$ to get a few things. But, I do think it's aggravating to employ these POA tactics. Even wright20.com posts their retail prices outright.
Seems that the prices, especially the high ones, would turn the tire kickers away too. Why would someone want to answer emails of inquiry, when posting a price could ensure emails of actual interest...
