Practical advice needed:
The set screws on my Gerald Thurston desk lamp from Lightolier (like the one in the ebay ad linked below, but with two heads) don't hold the uprights in position, although they're tightened down firmly. Is there an easy way to get them to hold (like shimming with a toothpick or something?). A lamp-repair guy might know what to do, but I hate to schlep across town and wait a week or two for results.
