I remember a very nice
series of German stamps on German design classics. Canada di one in the late 90ties...I suspect I still have a sheet so, if you are seriously considering collecting them, it would be a pleasure to send them.
Sweden did one in the "design Year" see link. Veel plezier met je verzameling

RE: Koen.
Koen, leuke reactie. De zegels uit Zweden zijn ook mooi. En ik heb deze week al mijn 2e serie postezegels binnen gekregen van het Bauhaus uit de DDR. Dus verzamelen is echt gestart.
Ik heb interesse in je aangeboden postzegels. Neem even contact me me op,LEVLI@LEVLI.NL kunnen we een afspraak maken.

In 2008 I saw the Eames...
In 2008 I saw the Eames stamps at my local USPS post office. I said, "Oh wow, you have Charles Eames stamps", and the clerk gave me a look of absolute astonishment and said, "You actually know who that is? Earlier we were all looking at them, saying, 'Who is this guy? Nobody will know who this guy is, or want to buy these stamps.'"

I am still looking for the sheet...
with Canadian design stamps, but I also seem to remember that Holland made an interesting series of "object" stamps. In their characteristic "down to earth" approach they selected anonimous designs like the "bakfiets", the "kaasschaaf" and probably others that I can't remember.
As you might appreciate, what we called home before is quite a mess, but the design stamps are somewhere, so I will find them.
In the meantime I found the series I remembered...without the "kaasschaaf"

...and of course the U.K
...with this great tradition of never mentioning the country...
I hope I copy the link properly this time
