Hello good people!
I came across this sectional sofa and was hoping someone here could shed some light on its provenance.
It does look very Milo Baughman-esque, and the printed velvet upholstery looks like some Jack Lenor Larsen patterns. I have seen the sectional in person and unfortunately it has no tags of any kind, but it is incredibly well built and the upholstery is basically in brand new condition. The legs are solid walnut, stubby round little guys, and as you can tell, the arms are angled. Like many mid century pieces, it sits low to the ground.
The person selling it inherited it from her grandparents who bought it in the 1970's, possibly in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Any/all thoughts welcome and appreciated! 🙂

No one has any thoughts eithe...
No one has any thoughts either way? 🙁 The seller says her grandparents may have bought it at the first Brick furniture store in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 1971, if that helps at all.

Oddly,
I like the textile. At first it made my eye's bleed...and then it suddenly became sort of swag. Yet, I wouldn't know what to wear whilst sipping a highball on such a color combo ( perhaps a neutral colored leasure suit?). The grandparents must have been sweet.

ps they should have aligned the pieces prior to photographing the monster.

ok.
then again...the textile pattern could be better matched amongst pieces and such.
Best,

The large colorful pattern...
The large colorful pattern definitely makes an impact, but such patterns are ill-advised for sectionals, and I'd consider this selection to be a mistake.
A directional problem is encountered with the upholstery pattern when turning the corner, you can't go two opposing directions at once*, and therefore cannot match the pattern in both directions.
*Except maybe with a seam at a 45 degree angle across the corner by someone who is very patient and willing to really pay attention to the thing, but even then it would probably still get screwy-
