Came accross a vintage knoll chair today. Looks just like a pollock executive chair only with plywood arms and frame. What is it? Should buy it?
The arms are the shape of pollock executive chairs--sort of the shape of eames aluminum group chairs. But definately wood.

i think i figred it out
it's a 1976 bill stephens chair. I ended-up buying it for ten bucks. I cqan't find a picture of it on the web, but it's a lot like his arm chair, 1305U, only with a four-star wheeled base http://www.knoll.com/museum/prod_museum.jsp?prod_id=345
Interesting how much these guys "borrowed" from each other, and how long their stuff was produced. L:oook at the arms if this chair compared with the pollock chair, compared with arms of the Eames aluminum group chair. This chair I have is like a plywood aluminum group chair with a pollock chair base.
