Okay, I found this lounger up for sale for $60. I'm going to buy it either way if no one beats me to it but what the hell is it? The seller says it's upholstered in green vinyl. That can't be right, can it? Also, he said he purchased it in the 70's at an upscale furniture store. I guess what I'm asking is, is it knock off by Plycraft or some other company from the 70's? Someone help please, I'm hopefully going to pick this up in a few hours. Thank you in advance!

Thank you! I actually looked at several photos online but there's a plethora of knock offs now. Thanks!

I think that green is just ho...
I think that green is just how some of that cheap Plycraft leather ages. It starts out orangey-tan and turns green.
I have that exact same chair and I reupholstered it in espresso brown leather and added 1" thick foam to the armrests plus piping on the top and bottom edges, just like the Eames chairs. Looks way nicer than it did, if I do say so myself.

Someone beat me to it. Dammit.
Someone beat me to it. Dammit. I'd love to have the real thing again but I'll settle for a Plycraft one for now if I can find another one at a good price. My parents had an Eames lounger when I was a kid but sadly it was sold off at some point.

Sorry, the photos of the chair in question weren't showing up when I looked at this thread. I only saw the greenISH chair farther down, plus all the greenish ones I've seen in person!
There are a lot of these chairs out there. I got one for $2 once at an auction, though it did need some work.

Damn, The cheapest I got one for was 25 and it was missing the ottoman.
