I found this Stunning chair at a garage / yard sale at the weekend & need help on identifying its origins ?
There are no obvious design marks or idenifiers on the piece.
I am guessing its 1950s?
Thanks

Interpretation of Wenger Peacock chair ? Price guesstimate
Given I am unsure of its design / marker is it worth the $650 AUD asking price?
Love the shape and design and haven't seen anything like it recently.
Could be an Australian designers interpretation of the Wenger Peacock chair?

That's
Wegner (g comes first) -- and no, I don't see this as having anything much to do with the Peacock chair. There are many Windsor or other spindle-back chairs which come closer to this curious object.
Can you imagine the feeling of sitting in that caved-in seat ?

hmm, looks like a grandfather's chair
For me, it looks like one of my grandpa's rocking chairs while smoking his favorite cigar. I wonder why not try a new chair like a ghost chair perhaps just to have a more modern touch.
