Did you notice that the cross-strut rocker went for 6K hammer price? (plus the rather huge auction house percentage) One never knows, as it could have been 3K just as easily.
Fickle auction prices are fun to watch over several years. It's a fascinating place where the long term price patterns can run smack-dab into the nature of randomness.

Set of four DKR-1 Dining Chairs by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. Early edition 1951. Constructed of enameled steel, chrome-plated steel, and vinyl. Signed, with paper manufacturer's label adhered to the underside of two pieces. Excellent Mid-century condition. Pitting at the bottom, but this adds character to the pieces. Vinyl is in excellent condition, with some light wear. With their utilitarian form, these chairs are perfect for a loft and/or industrial space.
