I recently bought several pieces from an estate. I got this credenza that has no markings, but I have a couple of Hundevad bookcases that came with the key and this key also operates the credenza. Not knowing is driving me crazy please help.
Try searching google for Brød...
Try searching google for Brødrene Sørheim. It was a Norwegian company. I didn't find a marked specimen in my short while searching. Regardless of maker, it looks Norwegian, which how I found the name Sørheim.
It has quite a few unusual characteristics, so look for the characteristics in a marked piece even if it isn't a credenza.
Also you might contact some of the sellers and ask about the attribution.
Finally there aren't that many skeleton keys shapes out there so it isn't surpring that the key from a Hundevad piece opens this sideboard. Apparently keys number 2 and 4 are very common on Scandinavian furniture.
