I recently picked up a pair of Scissor chairs by Pierre Jeanneret for Knoll. I have to admit Knoll is not my area of expertise and I know some DAers out there are very knowledgeable. I'm just looking for more info on my chairs.
Here's what I know - they have a Knoll label and they are teak. Most of the scissor chairs I've seen are birch. I'd love to hear a lot more about them!

Surprising color
for teak. Looks more like a walnut stain -- on birch ? But I know nothing about the Scissor Chair.

Teak is what I've been told...
I haven't received the chairs yet, but should have them in a couple days. It's pretty dark and looks sorta walnut-ish to me. I didn't know if someone with more knowledge would know about them being produced in teak or just stained dark. Web searching them, I don't see many (if any) with the same finish.

I received the chairs
I received the chairs today and they look like a walnut stain on beech. Any info about them would be great.
Did the original chair have leather straps? Is this an original finish?
