Looking for a new phone...corded one. One with caller ID & digital answer. Stylish but not over the top. Great sound quality a must. Exhausted local stores, all over priced, ugly poor quality crap. Frustrating endeavor in the age of cordless phones.

how about getting an old ericaphone [ericsson / sweden / 1957] and have someone retrofit it with the latest features you want? i've seen this phone come up now and again on ebay.

So Nick, does the Jensen phone require activating a voice mail serice with a phone company, or does it have an internal "push a button and listen" answering machine?
