The soft paws come off when...
The soft paws come off when the cat sheds it's claws naturally. That was the advantage of the coloured version cos I'd see a little blue claw on the floor and know that I needed to put a new one on. With the clear ones God knows how long there were naked claws on the loose!
My cats
both around 16yo, seems to have handled the front-paw declawing just fine back when I had it done. They're indoor cats and I didn't want my furniture clawed up.
As far the cat hair goes, it's a bottom line issue; if you like good furniture and cats you learn to deal with the hair. Plain and simple.
And if your cats are going to stay as indoor cats, then the dwclawing (which I had done when they were fixed), didn't seem to affect either of them in any way.
I do hope that
all dog and cat lovers have found Get Fuzzy in their newspaper. If not, here's a starter course:

Nothing could
beat the photos of real DA pets here, but for those of us cat-lovers currently without a pet, something like this is dear -- and appropriately mysterious ?

the side table? I'm a bit drunk so can't place it...
SDR I used to have running conversations with my old puss (RIP) for up to half an hour at a time, she was the best, towards the end her kidneys werent doing so well and she was getting Evian. Poor Tinks, she was so domestic but would occasionally revert and bring Hares twice her size in ,she would gnaw on them under my sisters bed which wasn't really noticeable until the smell began...
Mister Panda's side table
is by Noguchi, designed in 1957 for an Alcoa ad campaign and finally put into production by Vitra in 2002. Four original prototypes are known to exist; two are in a museum, but the other two occasionally show up at auction...

It is all in the details
gene,
I believe that I noticed that you are using a Leica table top tripod base with a small ball head to hold your Polaroid SX70. I do appreciate your attention to detail. Nice pussy.
I remain convinced that the Washington adage "if you want a friend get a dog" is true. I have three Schnauzers (Pepper age 1, Koler age 3, and Silly age 14) a Scottie (Caper age 10). Silly has a seeing eye cat (Zipper age 5). Silly developed diabetes two years ago and as a result went blind and deaf and Zipper goes for all walks with her. All the Schnauzers are rescue dogs.
Of course a guy like me would insist that the dogs all eat from their own Miriam Mirri, Lupita pet dish for Alessi and the cat has a Miriam Mirri, Tigrito cat bowl for Alessi. I store their food in Stefano Giovannoni, Crock dry dog food containers for United Pets.
thanks gene
gene,
You may see from the attached photo how I could have mis-identified your tripod. None the less, your set up looks great.
I already have the Leica tabletop tripod and both the small and large ball heads in my collection, along with a Leica 0-Series 2001 reproduction limited edition and a Leica CL 50 Jahre with 40mm Summicron C & 90mm Elmar C lenses.
I currently have my parents seacrhing for a mint condition Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera Alpha 1. They enjoy going to garage sales and I do not have the patience for that endeavour.
