It's 200 USD
for a nice desk made of solid wood with a great design. I never understand these type of questions. Now, if you had paid 2,000 USD, maybe the question would make more sense.
If you are trying to save money, here's one from Walmart for 41 dollars cheaper. Have at it.

but what makes you think that is by Lovig??
I have not seen anything from them ever made like that and think that what you have is a student desk made by club8.
Are there any makers marks?

Hey Riki, ----. It's definitely Lovig, though. It's stamped in two or three places and has a sticker on the inside. I love it, just worried I payed too close to retail. I'm a god damn student and I'm on a very slim budget, Mr. Riki.

This desk is definitely a Lovig, i've come across atleast 4 of these in the last couple of years and all were marked.
They pop up online quite a bit too.
$200 is a great deal.

Back to Mr. Sloan's original question about his desk. I still don't see how $200 could ever be considered too high for a quality desk. Any lower and you are venturing into flat-pack, MDF, made-in-China crap.
Perhaps the thread on DA about "latest finds" is doing a real disservice to young collectors in that they think that this stuff is just hanging around like low-hanging fruit at every thrift store for 5 bucks.

Its all too easy to play the 'blame the young collectors' they expect this and that card. A load of bollocks and huge generalisation.... very fustrating.
Nobody on here regardless of age etc, likes paying full retail, and the guy/girl just wanted to know if they had got a good deal.
