I have been buying several sconces and leather-and-steel chairs attributed to Charlotte Perriand over the last couple of years. These two products are somewhat obscure in her oevre, and I would like to finally get answers to my questions -
where the chairs actually designed by Perriand, or only chosen by her for the Station 1800? And if she did not design them, then who? I have them in black, brown and red -what's the story with the different colors? And I have seen them dated to anywhere from 1950 to 1970 - can anyone give me the right year??? And how many where there actually made for this amazing ski resort? The sconces are two different dimensions - how come? Same or different mnaufacturer?(ed.Steph Simon)? I have also tried to find any kind of literature on Station 1800, but in vain - is there anything out there that documents these pieces? I remain truly very grateful to anyone who can actually answer theese questions - I have browsed every book and catalogue on Perriand that I can find, but remain confused.... thxs!
