Pendant light - need/want recommendations please!

Make sure you
consider the light given off by the fixture before buying it. I love the look of the Fog & Mørup pendant that looks like a curved upside-down funnel, and was very excited when I lucked into one for $50 on Craigslist. But it casts a very directional light which I just couldn't get used to. I want the room to be lit, not just the table under the fixture. So I'm reluctantly selling it and will be using a vintage cased glass fixture for now. It's a nice shape and casts a lovely light, even if it's not the most interesting fixture in the world. And of course, I will continue to look...

yes, i understand what you mean...
right! we hadn't discussed quality of light cast in the room. I did google pics of the beehive and it looked pretty good OR I'm convincing myself it did. thanks! I really want a metal shade. I love those plastic ones and they do shine a lovely glow but, I've got my mind made up 🙂 thanks!
