Is this a Pearsall chair?  

I don't believe that this is a Pearsall design.  The wood doesn't appear to be solid walnut.  It looks like a lighter tone wood that was been stained to look like a walnut finish.  I've had a chair very simaliar to this one and it was made by Bassett and the line was called 'Prestige' (wasn't tufted on the back, but the fabric was the same).  Hope that helps out a little. 🙂

Check out the Avant line by Kroehler.  I think they did that kind of deep tufting on backs.
