Hello all, I'm new here.
I'm looking to replace my little-used Robin Day sofabed with two comfortable amrchairs, making space for a larger dining table in my living area.
The Paulistano appeals because of its light appearance. I'd be very grateful for your expert opinions on how comfortable it is as a lounge chair. Also, I'm concerned that the seat is higher than many other lounge chairs, but I'm finding this difficult to verify in the absence of Googled photos showing people actually sitting in them! If it's too high I think it might look odd - more like two dining chairs in front of the TV, rather than something inviting and lounge-like....
Thoughts welcome, thanks!
Thanks - 1 and 3 look quite...
Thanks - 1 and 3 look quite comfortable but I'm not sure the woman is convinced...
Now if anyone can send me a photo of two people sitting in Paulistanos around a fire, whilst watching TV, whilst reading a book, maybe with a blissed out cat on their lap, with a speech caption saying, "Oh, these chairs are so comfortable, I'm glad we got rid of the sofa", I would be very happy indeed 😉
Very comfortable, but....
My old office had two of these chairs. They are incredibly comfortable. The closest comparison I can think of are those leather butterfly sling chairs, but not quite. These are less slouchy and more comfortable. However, they can be difficult to get in and out of, particularly once the leather stretches. For example, an older person or an, ahem, portly person would have a hard time getting up out of these chairs.
That said, they are really beautiful. The leather ages wonderfully, too.
