I have a set of (5) of these chairs that had no markings on them.
Recently I've seen this chair after searching many different ways, some seem to think it could be Paul McCobb from the 50's.
Would anyone be so kind as to take a look and confirm or ponder other heritage?
Thanks a lot!!

What wood are they? They look more Scandinavian to me than American.

I was able to take better pictures of the ones we've refinished.
We think it's walnut stained BEECHWOOD -- but could be wrong..
There are a couple differences, the construction under the arm has additional piece.
Thank you SO much for chiming in Leif

Yes, that's stained beech--but that's not the same chair as the ones in gray vinyl.
On your chair, the top of the back has more rounded corners, the arms are longer, there's more space between the back and the seat, and the frame has some major structural differences.
The fabric on yours looks like a very Scandinavian wool but I can't tell if it's original or not so that doesn't necessarily mean anything. The arms look a bit overstuffed (the kind of thing that often happens when a piece is reupholstered) but that also might have no meaning.

And for the record, now that we have the actually chair in question: your chairs are not Scandinavian.

Yes, I should have noticed the differences before posting, it is truly a different chair.
We did reupholster the chairs, possibly losing some of the more nuanced design qualities..
Thank you so much for the input!
