I like her work. Her designs are often very feminine.

I'm curious regarding the feminine description, as in how? I can usually recognize the more overt aspects of design that one might relate to gender, but as a rule ... I don't know.

Perhaps that statement was too blanket. Some of the designs I have seen seem to be, upon goggling and seeing the breadth I think that maybe as a whole that statement of mine would be false. But a repeated theme for her is dainty, sometimes floral silhouettes and gentle curves. But now some of her designs are almost masculine upon research... both of the designs below are by her.
Have you seen her site? Super weird.

Are her pieces considered rare or expensive?
In the realm of contemporary designers, is she viewed as an up and comer or established?

Established
I think it's fair to say that Patricia Urquiola is one of the
hottest designers of the past decade. She just keeps coming
up with innovative designs that reflect her unique style. Her
tufty-time lounge is a beautiful interpretation of the Camaleonda
lounge by Mario Bellini in 1972. Even though I prefer fifties
furniture, I would be happy with just about any of her brilliant designs.
She is to furniture what Zaha Hadid is to architecture.
