Hey guys
I am selling a pair of Florence Knoll dining height tables. Very study. Same owner since new. They can be viewed at Los Angeles Craigslist. Peter at Los Angeles Modern auctions says that he has seen the top replaced with granite or Slate or wood. Sounds nice to me. These are low priced because I am liquidating the estate of a woman who collected Modern Furniture new in the fifties

I am trying to learn more
I apologize for not placing my 'for sale' information in the radar section. I did not realize that was the purpose.
I think what I am really trying to do is to find out if the Knoll tables are priced right and find out what the general consensus is regarding interest in these tables.
The more I think about it, the more I am inclined to just keep the tables and have a wooden top made that would have a continuous grain across both tables even though they could be separated. It is difficult for me to love the origional laminate tops because it is so....blank
Slate or granite is just so ...hard
Sell them (on the radar) and...
Sell them (on the radar) and use the money you would've put into them along with the money you will get for selling and buy and original wood topped one. That's my two cents - whether you like them or not, someone will like them in original condition. i would hate to see them changed...
Buyers unsure if it is florence Knoll!
So these women came by and they were not sure if the tables were Florence Knoll because there were no stickers and because the legs were T Bar instead of tubular steel. They said they would do research tomorrow and then get back to me
They were concerned that the tables might actually be another Southern California maker called ATV or ATC or something like that
Any advice or suggestions?
So I told them
So I told the women that I doubt that Los Angeles Modern Auctions would have photographed and listed these tables in their auction catalogue as Florence Knoll if they were not indeed authentic originals.
They are still unsure about the originality of T Bar construction in early Florence Knoll tables
Does anyone have any suggestions or sources to identify these tables?
Thank You!
