fail to see why threads about colour are 'strange'??
Colour is a massive part of design, and as such is oddly, rarely discussed on this board.
We get the odd discussion about colour for walls in the home, but rarely about 'product'
A lot of design is actually defined by colour, it can also set a mood, create an emotional response and suggest a period in time..
It is every bit as important as the materials something is made from, and the form of the object.

I said the exact same thing on the "Green" thread, although perhaps not as eloquently. BTW 1960 is also the year of my manufacture, well actually, manufactured in 59, brought to market in 1960
