Dear all,

I have a view pieces from PK that are produced by E Kold C en Fritz Hansen. I noticed on my last purchase that my tables are from 2007 and obviously from Fritz Hansen the crafting is not so nice. As you can see in pictures. I also see this in their official pictures.

Any comments? The EKC are better I guess??
Greetings Martijn

Martijn,
Your Poul Kjærholm PK71 nesting tables for Fritz Hansen do not look anything like my Fritz Hansen set bought new from an authorized dealer.
Your photos do not indicate the quality of a new Fritz Hansen product. Return them to the dealer for a full refund or another set that you "inspect" prior to acquisition.
Should you have purchased them previously enjoyed the onus is on you not Fritz Hansen.

Thanks a lot. Only they are 2007 and I bought them online from private seller.
Any idea if FH will inspect / do something for me?

mfb,
Your guess is as good as mine. My guess is no, the damage was caused after purchase by the original owner and is no fault of Fritz Hansen. Did you actually believe that the manufacturer produced that quality of product?

Do you think it's a replica then?
Sticker and apart from the cracks it looks good.

mfb,
No, I do not think the table is a replica. I think it is a poor repair to a damaged area.
They look fine. They are for using. You may search for an individual that does automotive restoration and have then look at you tables. Not a "repair", that is what caused this problem in the first place.
Stop typing and get busy. Do not, I repeat, do not blame Fritz Hansen for this dilemma and I would not ask them to adjust a lone persons poor handiwork.
Good luck.

Martijn,
You are welcome.
I am positive that with time and effort you will find a craftsman to restore your table base. Until that time, ignore the flaw as best you are able and enjoy the tables.

Thanks again and I plan to first enjoy the tables a few years before going into restoration!
