So i have searched high and low for any info on these chairs.

Closest I came was Mogens Voltelen for Niels vodder but these are no way near.

Thought Adrian heath but also no hit.

So maybe someone out there has a mobilia magazine with them in????

Would be great to finally find out.

Those are
wonderful. Is there anything that suggests they are the product of a manufacturer ? Could they be a student project ? The string seats (no cushions ?) seem a bit severe for actual use.
Interestingly, with the removal of the two stretchers the chair would collapse for shipping -- without disturbing the cord ?

OK, call me a literalist but,
When I saw the title I was fascinated by what a 'pine sting' chair might be! I just had to read the thread. But now I see what you meant, and I've got to say they look miserably uncomfortable!

True, those seats look none too cozy.
If they were mine, I'd restring them with fluffier string.

surprisingly
the chairs are actually rather comfortable. The string has enough slack in it to shape to "your ass" if you pardon the language.
And right if you unbolt the 2 cross stretches the chairs flat pack.
There is more to these than a student project as the use of oregon pine in Danish furniture was rare. The spot on fixtures and finish make me think they are more than a student diggs job!
