This is a good idea, but the examples shown are just pieces which are trying (and sometimes succeeding) to fit into the poetic/conceptualist camp. Some of them aren't bad actually but a few are apalling.
Perhaps they could have concentrated on products which are unsafe, wasteful or useless and leave beauty in the eye of the beholder.

OOPS DESIGN AWARD nominees it is always choice of ordinary product design fans / + some experts /,we only moderate it.So,for nominees vote members of OOPS DESIGN AWARD FOUNDATION ,not award founders or moderators .And as you can see on the our web-site award nominees it is as famous designers as young,as professionals as amateurs.Nominees can be as products made by famous brands as self-made products . We have not any exceptions.We only collect nominees from members and publish it.We have own product design vision and it is our right to consider some products as "beautiful" but other as "ugly".And ,of course,our web-site design it is the same "bad" design as product design inside.Absolute harmony.
