the source
Online I don't know.
anywat : don't forget about real life books; not eveything can be found online.
Anyway: if you really love Thonet you have to go to the MAK in Vienna-Austria. They have a great room full of Thonet chairs
And a great furniture collection!

I seem to recall
I seem to recall seeing a good number of books in the public library when I was researching a pair of counterstools for a friend. I dont remember the names of the books, I think I just searched Thonet in the catalog.
All of the books I read only dealt with the early stuff - there was very little information about the newer (1950-1960) pieces.

Thanks folks.
Already utilized both resources before this DA post. I do have one book Thonet by Alexander Von Vegesack. It's has good historical info, but not much for referencing and exploring the myriad variations of each design. Did find a reprint of an early catalog...will investigate.
