Ho all

i have inherited an old black anglepoise but made teh mistake of taking off the black switch/bulb holder. Sadly this is now unrepairable and finding a black replacement is proving difficult .

any ideas on where I can get one ? the wiring etc look sin good condition .Thanks Andy

Can you post a picture of the piece that you removed and where it goes on/in the lamp? Without a pic of what you started with, its hard to hazard a guess as to what to replace it with.

They supply spare parts - I needed replacements for the switch mechanisms which broke on all three of my anglepoises - and didn't charge me anything

What about new springs for the old lamps? They do not seem to be available.

Look on Ebay for a Crabtree...
Look on Ebay for a Crabtree bakelite switch - this is the correct one for your anglepoise, although other bakelite switched bulb holders will fit. You've found out by now I guess that the Crabtree one can be rewired without taking them off the shade?
