So I got into a bidding war and ended up winning an ebay auction for these original 60's teak bowls. Only thing is they cost me £82, am I mad? or are these IYHO worth anywhere near it?

Bowls
Don't know what the cost would be but I like them! Especially the two on the left.

Unless they are by a well known wood worker (Bojesen, Osolnik, Prestini, or even Quistgaard for Dansk, etc. and I don't think they are) I think you paid a bit much. Just my 2 cents. I do think that they are very nice, though.

Nice, but I've seen tons of these around. Like the others have said if they aren't from anyone in particular I think you may have paid to much.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...
Folks pay zillions for McMansions, sports cars and hideous clothing...
If you like them then don't worry about the price. Consider it an investment in beauty....and beauty is priceless...

Hepburn quote
This thread makes me think of a line from this interview with Katherine Hepburn: "It's like buying a piece of furniture that's really good. When you buy it and it's great, you get enormous pleasure out of seeing it and you never remember how much it costs."

We have passed up too may things(with regrets) that would have been perfect, But $10-$50 more than I wanted to pay. I really like the bowels, worth the money if you like them. Are you considering on filling them with anything?
