Does anybody else notice the subtle differences between the 2 chairs.

I'll keep checking through out the day and if it is still not letting me edit by this evening I will post the picture of the chair from Ebay anyways without it being in my original post. Hopefully people will scroll enough to see.....

There are a lot of knockoff Pearsall tables out there, including at least one in the the photos above. I 'd be careful of paying too much for a piece that is "inspired by". Any piece that is stained, and not solid walnut, is an easy tell. But I would also look closely at the shape and curves of the walnut pieces. Also the catalog cuts clearly show that the crossing members have a flush overlap joint, and not an offset one (apologies to the woodworkers out there for butchering those terms).
The small black rubber support dots are also a good indication of which side is meant to be up. Maybe some knockoffs were designed to be "upside down".
