Does anybody else notice the subtle differences between the 2 chairs.

I sent a note to the seller last night about the backwards frame. I expect the listing to have updated photos shortly. You might want to cut and paste the current photo into your post so that it will still make sense in a few hours.

Thanks cdsilva,
I downloaded a couple of the pictures from the Ebay listing earlier this morning anticipating that the seller was going to pull the ad. I will go a head and post them now.

Because of all the spam on the board lately this site will not let me edit my original post. When I click the edit feature it keeps telling me this.
"You are not authorized to access this page.
Warning !
If you are a new user, your account needs to be approuved before posting new threads (due to an increasing amount of spam these days)"
I'll keep checking through out the day and if it is still not letting me edit by this evening I will post the picture of the chair from Ebay anyways without it being in my original post. Hopefully people will scroll enough to see.....

Peruche, I got it--- just in case!
I sure hope no one sits in it and rocks back even a little when it's in this state. You could go right over backwards.

Peruche, I was pretty sure of that but original photos are just so pretty, now I just have to go meet the person with the upside down table bases and buy them!

There are a lot of knockoff Pearsall tables out there, including at least one in the the photos above. I 'd be careful of paying too much for a piece that is "inspired by". Any piece that is stained, and not solid walnut, is an easy tell. But I would also look closely at the shape and curves of the walnut pieces. Also the catalog cuts clearly show that the crossing members have a flush overlap joint, and not an offset one (apologies to the woodworkers out there for butchering those terms).
The small black rubber support dots are also a good indication of which side is meant to be up. Maybe some knockoffs were designed to be "upside down".

That's a good heads up, thank you! I thought it looked a bit off, but mostly because it was upside down and very poorly lit pictures.
