I usually deplore extravagance but when I found this I literally stopped breathing. Its totally ridiculous, wasteful...I can't put it into words but somehow its got my respect.

Its a flash site so you have to navigate to EDITIONS and then click on 'Carrara marble zero-in' table.

..
I love it, I hate it and I am wracked.
From what I can tell it was carved from a solid block, madness! Chutzpah! I wonder how much it cost? I'm guessing somewhere around $8000 euros.

Weird website
The website is so sophisticated and styled that it's difficult to move around.
Wouldn't they have been better off by showing small pix that you could click on?

Hmmphff
Doesn't do much for me...kind of looks like a marble Tupperware bowl. I can appreciate the stone, but not the shape. Ah well, each to this own wasteful extravagence

Likewise
I can appreciate the materials and the obvious craftmanship
But it has too much of a mausoleum quality for me
Looks like a child's coffin..not something I'd like in my home
