Forty-five "watchers",
according to the site below (Collector's Weekly).
I thought only sellers are privy to the number of watchers-- where does Collector's Weekly get the info?

I wonder what Wright would...
I wonder what Wright would project them at pricewise. Of course they do have some pretty sizable spots of discoloration. But damn, I don't know. Think I might throw some jack at 'em. Then I could buy every other undesirably colored iconic piece on the cheap and tell everyone I've decided I'm not afraid of color...
I am basing my estimate
.... on 2 hot pink armshells listed separately on eBay a couple of years ago. If I remember correctly they finished at $2500 each, or $5000 for the pair.
This color purple is way more rare. WAY more rare.
But in hindsight, perhaps I am indeed still being too optimistic. We'll see in a few days.
Call me Plum Crazy, but...
I like Purple!!In fact I have (yes,)a "Barney's Purple" original Eames Rocker which never fails to draw favorable comments from my guests. Not even one opined that it was ugly. That's what makes these colors rare, folks.Conservative buyers who eschew a certain color make it an incredible collectible. Why do you think the 1970 Plymouth Barracuda/Dodge Challenger color,"Plum Crazy" always commands a huge premium? Second is "Panther Pink"!
