hi all, this is my first post 🙂

i am an occasional collector of mcm furniture & objects,
meaning i occasionally run across it lol
anyway, ive never seen this designer before, Kofod-Larsen,
there is a partial label on the bottom - but im wondering
why is the back upside down? it was made that way, no
extra holes or anything on the back. i cannot find any
like this. anyone here have any avenue for me for further
research? thanks for anything you can throw my way 🙂 [pim]

So what happens if you take it off, turn it and mount it?

lol i thought of that too; angle & placement is wrong on your back, no brace support for your weight. it definitely was made to be this way.

Not sure where you got the designer attribution but I'm having a hard time believing someone named their child Seymour Weiner. Unless he's an old dude with a board in his garage...

But that's a totally different chair, or did I miss something somewhere?

its how he made the chair not the specific design, all kodawood labels had the same patent number, regardless of the style of furniture - even sofas and barstools. the question asked was about the name source, the patent shows his name as seymour james wiener.

I like how he signed his name S. James Wiener. No coincidence there to emphasize the middle name instead of the first.
