Did Alivar manufactured the first Isamu Noguchi Cyclone dining table? I saw a table marked Alivar, I thought Knoll was the only mfg. Is the Alivar table authentic then?

Alivar
Alivar was founded in the mid-80s. Their (very expensive) replicas of the classic pieces manufactured by Knoll, etc., are unlicensed.

yes, inauthentic
This is what the Noguchi Museum and Knoll sites say:
Hans Knoll had a hand in the design; it was taken out of production by Knoll in 1974 and reissued in 2003. In the US, a well-known company (Modernica) makes unauthorized Cyclones, maybe like Alivar because of the period Knoll had the Cyclone out of production.
Knoll sure sounds like the only manufacturer ever authorized.
Sorry about cutting in.
