The photo also
has the feel of "Nero Fiddled While Rome Burned". Sorry I got to disagree with you on this one. Nixon bowling in the basement of the White House all feels kind of pathetic, despite the cool chair. He was a petty man who allowed his own paranoia to corrupt him.
Now a photo of Jack Kennedy with his wind tossed hair, Ray Ban shades, polo shirt and sea island cotton sweater on the deck of his sailboat off of Hyannis in all his insouciant confidence, now that's cool.

no problem disagreeing with ...
no problem disagreeing with me, this was not a civics lesson or popularity contest,
Here in the US every one over 45 remembers Nixon, his crappy Viet Nam war, and his lieing sneaky ways.
Breshnive Nixon's Russian counterpart (for you young ones) liked big Cadillac elderodo convertibles, I wish i had a picture of that one.

What's on the wall
I love that texture. Is there an alternative to gypsum wallboard that uses this sort of textural relief repeat pattern to mask any seams? Wouldn't that make a neat alternative to gypsum drywall?

I've seen this textured wallboard product in Home Anthology in Catonsville, MD (outside of Baltimore). It's good-looking stuff.

They're the bee's knees. 🙂
