Found this little thing.

Anyone has a clue as to maker or designer?

Cant find any markings.

Hope you guys can help.

I have a lamp with similar hardware.
Iv'e never been able to ID it but I suspect it could be Italian. Maybe Stilnovo.

On a side note. In general How should one go about restoring these types of lamps? In terms of how much can you refinish them without killing their value. Repainting? Polishing brass parts? Changing electrical parts.
Hope there is some seasoned lamp specialists out there.

I really can't answer as to "lost value" when restoring but I will tell you that many of the 1st dibs sellers repaint lamps (they note this in their descriptions). The white/off white lamp you posted would look much better with a nice paint job and polishing of the frame.
