Recently we purchased one of Herman Miller's six drawer Nelson chest's on Swag Leg base. It arrived in the mail, I opened it and found three of the drawer fronts has fallen off. There was no damage to the drawer fronts or any other parts and the box didn't have a single blemish. We just returned the whole thing for a refund and can only figure bad craftsmanship? I want the chest so bad, but not if it's made poorly. Any thoughts?

I suppose..
it all depends on how much you want the chest James. Are you willing to "repair" from new and live with it versus your feeling towards craftsmanshp?.As to the box being undamaged, i had a Toio delivered in the 80s and the box was perfect but when i opened it the poor lamp stem was bent right out of shape, however i loved the thing so much that i rebent it myself and its still with me and still as nice.

vivienne.....
I liked what you wrote, so I had them send a replacement instead of a refund. Thanks!
