New IKEA PS line to US finally

I've seen the whole range at the Ikea store and most of it looks really decent, especially the round, wooden table (the lamp is kinda huge though).
Oddly the PS items are somehow out of touch with most of the other things they sell right now. They were only presented in a single booth and nowhere else to be seen, it seemed almost like a "shop in a shop".
Still they are the most interesting items they offer, almost the only ones that have a contemporary design approach. Just look at the strange vintage-like, pop-like, country-like stuff...

claus, I was under the impression that the wooden jointed lamp was a table lamp. How big is it?

it's about as high as a...
it's about as high as a dining table (ca. 70cm), I thought it would fit on a small or regular coffee table, but I felt it's too large for that.
There's also a floor lamp twice the height with three legs.

looks somewhat phallic! I wonder how well it's made. Other than kitchen cabinets, I'm not impressed with Ikea.
I see alot of their foil finished particle-board furniture in the trash around here....

The
kitchen cabinets are foil-finished particle board -- with sexy-looking doors. But in our throw-away culture, I guess they "fit right in." Buy it today, throw it up tomorrow, throw it out when you move in two years ?
