Split opinions for me. I prefer the Miller clocks as I would always rather go for vintage, but they can be a little unreliable. The Vitras just work - hence I have a few of those. BTW I'm in the UK, so the electric clocks are a problem here hence Vitra again.

I like my new ones simply because I'm not afraid of irreparably damaging them - i.e. they are not as precious as the vintage ones. I'm speaking about look only - I've never compared a vintage with a new one side by side for quality.

Just got this one
it's a vintage wind clock #2258, but I don't have the key for it....and my Umanoff 'casket' clock's key doesn't fit this.
Bizarre clock, tho...the petals are a vinyl.
The pix is a battery version with a second hand; my clock is in not quite good condition and since it's a wind clock, has no second hand.

Is this a Nelson design?
They don't say, but does it look like it?

whether or not it's Nelson, it's clearly a more expensive Howard Miller clock....so the price is high but not insane.
