Hello,
Thought I'd try to get some help on this forum about an Eames Lounge Chair I inherited from a distant relative. It has a five "spoked" base and it also has exposed fasteners through the rosewood so I'm pretty sure it is a fake...
but, the great aunt that had bought the chair in the mid to late 1950's swears that it is in fact an Eames Lounge Chair before he had paired up with Miller?
Also, it's not like her and her late husband are gullible or would pay a good amount for something fake since the everything they owned seems to be top of the line items.
Like I said just looking for anyone who's an expert in these chairs for some additional info.
cheers, Michael

.
Dear Michael,
Try posting a picture of both of your distant relatives, and also a picture of the chair.
Best,
Aunt Mark

"has exposed fasteners...
"has exposed fasteners through the rosewood so I'm pretty sure it is a fake"
. . . or an ill-advised DIY project somewhere along the line.
People like putting bolts through Eames bentwood.
