My block is being closed off for Tuesday (Aug 4th) National Night Out, and besides moving my BBQ around from the deck to the front of my house, there's going to be good deck furniture out there:
1 Schultz Leisure/1966 white dining table
2 Schultz Leisure/1966 black dining chairs
1 Schultz Leisure/1966 white coffee table with brown top
2 Bertoia yellow side chairs with yellow vinyl seat pads
2 Schultz Topiary black arm/dining chairs
I doubt if any of my neighbors have ever seen any of this stuff...it'll be interesting to see if anyone pays any compliments!
Our neighbors are not nearly as stupid...
(and certainly no more so than ourselves), as the oligopoly-owned media(as in 6 holding companies) would have us fear.
Glad to hear they liked your furniture and that you apparently liked them liking it.
Neighbors meeting neighbors and talking is always the way great change in America begins. Once neighbors cease censoring themselves, shifting discourse and consensus inevitably alter what problems can be tackled and solved.
And people are so much harder to fool, once they know their neighbors and know their neighbors feel much the same on more things than the wedge issues being used to divide them would lead them to believe.
"A nation's culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people."
--Mohandas Gandhi
Design should nurture this culture.
