Looks real to me.
And it looks like an old re-upholstery job that needs to be stripped off and restored with a fabric that would have been on this chair originally.

These are nicely done Ring chairs. My question is are they COMFORTABLE?
I would actually prefer a different chair by Jörgen and Nanna Ditzel. It is a cross between Jacobsens Egg and Wegners Pappa Bear. But characteristically Ditzel.
